Kirsty's Journey From a young age, Kirsty was a kitchen connoisseur. Growing up, she spent countless hours perched on the kitchen counter, watching her mother create incredible roast dinners and Sunday bakes—igniting a lifelong passion for cooking.
At 40, Kirsty decided her family had seen enough of her dinner on Facebook and launched an Instagram account link to Instagram account here @lovetocookwithkirsty. Her account quickly took off, and her interest in BBQ grew with it. After boldly approaching Traeger, she landed a partnership that sparked a love for big slabs of meat and the art of grilling. Known for diving in headfirst, her first big cook was a brisket—and she hasn't looked back since!
Kirsty became a regular content creator and demo chef for Traeger, teaching sold-out BBQ classes across the country. It was at one of these classes that she teamed up with Beccy as she covered a staff sickness and helped out, their shared passion for grilling created a friendship that would one day become Love To Cook BBQ Shop.
Kirsty's journey with Traeger saw her travel to Malta and Copenhagen, manage a team of 23 demo chefs, and become a certified expert in all things Traeger.
Beccy, also known as @lovetocookwithbeccy on Instagram has always been a foodie and excellent cook, developing a love for good food early on whilst spending many hours in the kitchen with her family learning how to cook their favourite meals. Being enthusiastic and getting involved can be tiring work though, and Beccy was regularly found falling asleep in her food as a youngster! Her staying power has increased slightly over the years and she now spends as much time as possible exploring and learning about good food.
Starting out on a fish and butchery counter in her teens also ignited her love for food.
First finding love for the Big Green Egg and later a love for Traeger, Beccy spends as much time as possible in her happy place, cooking and creating. Learning as much as she can from others and when eating out, she’s less a fan of a recipe and takes a more “Ready, Steady, Cook” approach of going where the inspiration takes her. She experiments as much as possible with all that outdoor cooking can offer, from carnivorous creations to bountiful bakes.
Once a trainer teacher but having not taught in the classroom for some time, teaming up with Kirsty to deliver her BBQ classes, reignited a passion for sharing her knowledge and helping people to reach their potential. Having taught BBQ classes across the country with Kristy and loved the experience so much that it sparked the idea of opening a shop and BBQ school of their own! Leaving her job as a civil servant and bravely opening a BBQ shop with Kirsty is the beginning of an exciting and fun new chapter for Beccy.
