Winner Winner Chicken Dinner is the rub for a proper golden roast chicken. A little sugar helps the skin crisp and colour, while paprika, garlic and onion give it a savoury base. Ancho chilli adds a mild, smoky warmth, and turmeric, black and white pepper and basil round it off.

How to use it

Pat your chicken dry, rub it with a little oil, then season generously all over, including under the skin. Roast it in the oven, on the BBQ or in the air fryer. It's also great on wings, thighs, drumsticks and spatchcock chicken, and sprinkled over roast potatoes.
